Along with our studio buddies, GET A GRIP, we have pledged at least 1% of our revenue to Environmental causes. Although it doesn’t sound like much, it allows us to work out how much we can donate, hopefully a lot more.
1% For The Planet was set up by Yvonne Chouinard, Founder of Patagonia who’ve been pioneers of sustainable fabrics, and Craig Mathews, who we know absolutely nothing about, other than he runs a fishing business.
It works brilliantly as it only requires a small commitment so encourages more members, but also means that you can donate in line with your performance. If we have a bad year we give 1%, if we have a good year we give as much as we can. The other major benefit of this is that 1% FTP encourage you to not only choose, but work with your chosen environmental organisation. You can choose whether your pennies are a drop in the ocean or a splash in a puddle.

We like 1% FTP. If you’re gonna have an idol, you can’t go wrong with Yvonne. His book is the only book I’ve ever finished and wanted to read again - ’Let My People Go Surfing’
